We are in San Francisco. A day of walking along the seashore was so much fun, with amazing seafood options around us. Dave and I enjoyed a delicious dinner at R&G Lounge San Francisco! We had salt and pepper shrimp, Moo shu pork with crepes, mushrooms with greens, and seafood & tofu soup! Will definitely come back! Make sure you come before 6 pm, or there will be a long queue ... for the crabs :)

A post from last week: Dave and I went to a Japanese hot pot restaurant. When ordering dishes, I wanted to add one type of mushroom whose English name is not familiar to me. So I asked the Asian-looking waitress whether she speaks Chinese. She said no but would not mind guessing its name if I could tell her the Chinese name of the mushroom. So I asked whether they have 金针菇 (the enoki mushroom). Guess what? The waitress immediately got it! Well, that was a satisfying memory!

"Being a Father is My Career" is a book written by Tony Cai's father Cai Xiaowan (蔡笑晚). In this book, Cai talks about his experience about teaching children. He himself was considered a successful parent, whose six children excelled in their studies and careers, including two professors at top Ivy League universities in the United States.
